The Las Vegas Strip will be transformed into a Formula 1 racetrack in November 2023, as organizers announced that the Las Vegas Grand Prix, part of the FIA Formula One World Championship, will be run on a Saturday evening yet to be named that month.
The 3.8-mile, 14-corner track will include about 1.2 miles of the Strip. The southbound cars will whiz by landmarks such as Caesars Palace, the Fountains of Bellagio and the Eiffel Tower of Paris Las Vegas before turning on East Harmon Avenue, where the pits and paddock will be located.
The northbound track will also incorporate Koval Lane, loop around the MSG Sphere, and employ Sands Avenue to access the Strip.
With more than 50 laps, drivers could achieve speeds of up to 212 mph on three straightaways.
Formula 1 and Liberty Media will promote the race in partnership with Live Nation Entertainment and the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority in what is reportedly a three-year deal. Caesars Entertainment, MGM Resorts International and Wynn Las Vegas will be founding partners. MSG Sphere, Resorts World Las Vegas and the Venetian will be presenting partners.

"Spectators will experience the unrivaled thrill of watching these world-class drivers race through what is sure to become one of the most iconic racetracks in the world."
Las Vegas, which will host the Super Bowl in February 2024, joins Miami and Austin, Texas, as other Formula 1 cities in the U.S.

The last Las Vegas Grands Prix, held in 1981 and 1982, were staged in Caesars Palace's parking lot.
