Explore New Destinations
in 2024

National Geographic Expeditions was founded on the same belief in the importance of exploration that distinguishes the National Geographic Society's 130-year history. Launched in 1999, National Geographic Expeditions now operates hundreds of trips each year, spanning all seven continents and more than 80 destinations.

Our Signature Land Expeditions are premium, fully planned itineraries that provide an enriching, in-depth look at the history, culture, and natural heritage of a destination. Each is accompanied by a National Geographic Expert who offers insights on the places we explore through fascinating presentations and informal discussions.

National Geographic opens doors around the globe: Our relationships with scientists, storytellers, museums, and active research sites allow us special access to places and people, including our own grantees, whose field sites we visit wherever we can. Guests go behind the scenes to get a close-up view of work that is helping illuminate and protect the world’s cultural and natural treasures. In 2024, travelers will experience the National Geographic difference when they discover three exciting new destinations.

Colombia is home to an expansive range of cultural, floral, and faunal diversity. This diversity has been a source of creativity in art, music, dance, and food throughout the country. Be inspired by the natural beauty, storied history, and vibrant traditions of this fascinating destination

Amid verdant valleys dotted with historic fortresses and shrines, delve into Bhutan’s rich culture, discovering how everyday life is intertwined with Mahayana Buddhism. Meet with monks, nuns, farmers, and artisans; take part in ancient rituals; and witness firsthand the cautious evolution of this tiny kingdom.
