The longtime river cruise leader, Viking surged into ocean cruising in 2015 and has since launched six 930-passenger vessels, with six more on order. In 2020, it launched the Viking Expeditions brand with an order for two 378-passenger ships, the first debuting in 2022, that will operate in the polar regions and the Great Lakes.
